Sir,—Replying to a letter signed "Justice," in your issuo of Saturday, in so far us it refers to the attitude of tho Second Division League, may I point out that tho leaguo's request was that Second Diviison drafts should bo officered by men of maturo age and experience, and that 110 distinction as between married or single men was made or suggested, A reference (o the league's resolution, which appeared in your issuo of August 2-i will confirm the above. The committee had reason to believe that it was necessary to make representations on tli is matter in order to voice the league's disapproval of the appointments of youths, fresh from college, and with no experience of men, lo commissions in future drafts.—l am, etc., R, A.
