HUTT FLOWER SHOW
Lower Hutt will be en fete on AVctlnesday in connection with the visit of Their Excellencies the Govcrnor-Gten-eral mid Countess of Liverpool to open (he Patriotic Spring Flower Show at theDrill Hall. The proceeds are lo be forwarded to the Minister of Defence for the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. Arrangements have been made to convey the staff and patients of the Military Convalescent Home at. Lowry Bay to the show. Messrs. Barr and Sous' trophy will be defended by Mr. Itobert Gibson, Riverlea, Blthani. This successful- grower and enthusiast has presented the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society with ii handsome JJI3 12s. rose bowl for dailodil competition this year, to bo won three time 3 in succession or four times at intervals. Visitors from the city will be able to secure varieties of narcissi which are not -usually to be seen in the tow 11. There is a suitable train service to, 6.4? p.m., and arrangements for a motor service to Wellington are advertised.
