Harding, -who has been in the Auckland office of the Union Company for tho last eighteen months, has left for Dunedin for orders. He intends joining the sea staff as an assistant purser.

The Calm will sail at 5 p.m. .to-day for Lyttelton, Bluff, Dunedin, and Tiniaru, and not for Wanganui as had been arranged. The Putiki is due from Onmaru this morning, and is advertised to sail tonight for Wanganui. The Tainui is to arrive from T.yttclton this morning, and leave this afternoon for Lyttelton. The vessel is to return here on Thursday, and sail that day for Tiinaru. Timaru 'he will come to Wellington to load for Oamaru. The collier Kaniona, which arrived late on Sunday night, will leave to-morrow on the return trip .to Greymouth. The Jfonowaf will leave at 5 p.m. today lor LytteJton and Dunedin. The Union Company steamer Kaitangata should arrive here to-morrow from Vestport. ... The Kakapo is duo this morning from Lyttelton.
