CLEANING PORTUGUESE NYASSA LAND. (Rec. September 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, September 9. An East African official report states: —"We overcame the enemy resistance at Qpondas, southward of Mahenge, and occupied all hia positions. Our troops are pursuing the enemy. It is reported that in the southern area the Germans have been dislodged from Tunduru, and are ■ retreating to Hiwale. Thero aro no Germans now in Portuguese Nyassaland, southward of Rovuma.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter.
