CENTENARY OP THE MARIST ORDER

CELEBRATIONS IN WELLINGTON. The first of the celebrations in connection with, the centenary of the Jlariet Brothers' Order will be held this morning. To-morrow morning at 9 o'clock a High Mass and General Coimnuumion will be held at St. Mary's of the .Angels. The combined Thorndon and Nowtown Schools Choir will sing tho Mass. In the evening a special sermon dealing with the work of the brothers will bo preached by the Rev. Father S. Mahooey, S.M., one of tho pioneers of tho sehool hi Wellington. On Monday evening tho Town Hall will be the sceuo of a great Catholic conversazione, at which leading local talent will render appropriato Heme. Short addresses on matters pertaining to tho evening's celebrations will bo delivered. On Tuesday evening a reunion of brothers, old boys, and friends will be hold. Catholics are invited to participate in all the functions, and make Hie centenary ono of note throughout .Ne« - Zealand.
