The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd., report that at their Upper Hutt sale\on Thursday they submitted a, large yarding of cattle, which was practically all cleared at satisfactory rates. Quotations: Forward cowe, £8 to £9 18e.; medium store cows, to £7 10s.; lowcondition cows, to £5 155.; cows with calves, £7 12s. 6d., £8 25., to £8 10s.; yearling steers, £5 10s.; two-year steers, £9 2s. 6d.; yearling heifers, £4 195.: mixed-sex weaners, £2 175.: cows in full milk, to £12; springing heifers, to £7 135.; yearling Sill, £4 10s.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly Eale at the Upper Hutt on Thursday, when there was a large attendance of local and outside buyers. A cood entry of cattle was yarded, a total clearance being made under the hammer at most satisfactory prices. Jlcssrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held a very successful dispersal sale oi pedigree I'rcisian cattle, on account of Mr. A.. J. ..Gallichai), Tiakitahuna, on Wednesday last. There was a yery large attendance, and buyers nd their representatives were present from Invercargill, Southland, B.imedin, Blenheim, Wairarapa, Manakan, Auroa, Wanganui, Eltham, Stratford., Hawera, Gisborne, Auckland, Thames, and Waikato.
