« mW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION, The fourth annual report of the Dominion of New Zealand Howling Association Btatf.e that the .membership of the association consists of 17 centres-rtorth Island, B; South Island, 9. Tho clubs afiiliated to the association number 215, being an increase of two on last year. A number of centres have failed to send in returns of the membership of clubs, c(.nKcniicntly it is impossible to give tho actual number of members. The figures available for the year show 10.425 members, as against 10,137 last year. These, however, arc not complete. The- credit, balance lias decrca.-od during tho year. The funds should really be greater than shown ill the balon:o----shect, as levies from a good many clubs are still owing. In accordance with Clause t of tho constitution and rules, tho headquarters of tho association for the ensuing- year will be at Dunedin. Hie association tournament was held in Wellington in January, and record entries for each event were received, viz., 136 rinhK. 208 pairs. 210 singles. An electric ■ lielvt tournament was held on two evenings during tlio week, for which « rinlis entered. The profit from the tournament amounted to £550. which sum 'i as distributed as follows:—War Belief Association. .-E3M; Y.M.C.A., £150; Kctnrned Soldiers' Club, £50; St. John Ambulance, £50.
