SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
Tho weekly meeting of tho committee of tho Second Division League was held last evening, Mr. E. A. Armstrong presiding. • The letter from the Minister of Defence regarding officering, of . Second pivision drafts (published in Tuesday's issue) was discussed, and die secretary instructed to write to the Minister asking whether the authority granted to the G.0.C., N.Z.E.P., to return twenty officers per month was actually being put into effect.
It was decided to call a provincial conference for the end of next week. The secretary was instructed to ask the Parliamentary Committco to endeavour to mako arrangements for the round-table conference with Cabinet as suggested »t the meeting of members of Parliament with a view to having the league's requests thoroughly discussed before any amendments to the Pensions Act, etc., are brought down by Government. A quantity of correspondence dealing with matters of national organisation and the formation of hew branches was received.
