Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., Palmerston Worth, report having held their' fortnightly sale at Taihapc on Wednesday, when a small entry of both sheep and cattle came to hand. There was a email attendance of buyers. There was a good demand for two and a half-year to threeyear steers, but sheep, owing to the small entry, were dull of sale. Tbe < following prices were realised for the lines submitted:—Mixed hoggets, 225.; small hoggets, 16s. 10d.; two and a half-year steers, £12 ss. to £12,155.; eighteen-month steers, to £9 10s.: light fat cows, to £13; dairy cows, to £10.

Tliero was a keen demand for all classes of stock, young cattle being in particularly strong request.. Quality was conspicuous by its absence, but a good sale resulted, and we quitted our total entry under the hammer at the following prices:—Three-year steers (small), £14 155.; forward store cows, £9 to £11 55.; store cows, £6 2s. 6d„ £6 55., to £6 10s.; empty heifers (low condition), £5 10s. to £6 os.; Jersey weaners (small), 41s.
