MILK FOR SOLDIERS
Sir.-Tha C.O.C. the New Zealand Forces in France recently sent a communication to the Government asking that plenty of condensed milk should be sent to the soldiers by their friends. .This everyone is willing to do, but the Postal regulations mako it prohibitive. A tin of New Zealand condensed milk weights lib. S oz -> an< l tho postage on it is one shilling. Having received many letters from Egypt and Prance, from soldiers saying how much they appreciate the gift of a tin of milk, 1" have the following suggestion, to make: Will a member or Parliament vrho reads this letter kindly bring the matter up'in the House, enlist the support of his fellow-members, and request the Postmaster-General to notify thnt tins of condensed milk (so marked' on parcel) will be forwarded to soldiers at the'front, and New Zealand seamen in the Navy, at the lib. rate, viz., fo'urpence. This will make it easier for the senders of parcels, and confer a much-appreciated benefit on the gallant men who are suffering for our sakes.—l am, etc., _ KEEP THE OLD FLAG FLYING.
