British correspondents give vivid descriptions of the attack on the St. JulienPoelcapellc Road in a driving rainstorm. Tho "tanks" wallowed through the bog land, and the heavily laden infantry ploughed through tho mud. The attackers' task was to capture a series of concreto strongholds, each of which held a scorc of German machine-gunners.
