... A NEED IJ* WELLINGTON. Durin» question time at the meeting of the fiarbour Board last meeting, Mr. W. Cable asked the. chairman whether 'he knew that a vessel had been waiting in Wellington.for weeks to undergo repairs, and was unable to get them done. Years dragged on in Wellington, and nothing practicable was done. Mr. R. .A. Wright: What about the floating dock? Mr. Cable: "That's coming all right." Continuing, he said it was a fact that one vessel had been lying in Wellington for weeks waiting to go on the slip, and it was no credit to tho port.
