THE WAR LOAN
Sir,—lt seems to mo that (locally afc any rate) the War Loan is rather hanging lire, not because people will not iio their duty, but because they do not 6co thijir way clearly. Many of us have a moderato income and not much ready money, and if banks or other financial institutions would advance perhaps 85 per cent, on the bonds and let the rest bo repayable by instalments over ten years we should not hesitate to borrow in' Older to subscribe, but if no such arrangement can bo aado we are greatly afraid (in viow of theother obligations and engagements which most of us have incurred) that uur whole business may be gravely jeopardised, if we have to pay up in ?he near future.—l am, etc., FAEJIBB.
