NAPIER SEWERAGE SCHEME
TENDERS FOR THE WORK ACCEPTED. (By Tclegranh— Soccial Correspondent.) Napier, August 28. Tho Napier Borough Council to-day accepted the tender of John Griffin (Napier) at for Hie Napier South sewerage ivork, and that of A. D. Riloy and Co. (Wellington) at r > for pumps, etc. Tho unsuccessful tendors were, respectively:— Murphy and Wilson (Auckland) .£23,627,. and the National Electric Co., Auckland £955. The lapse of time since tho ratepayers sanctioned the work, about two yeiirs, ♦ lias added some- .£SOOO to tho cost of tho work.
