BETTER WEATHER
Yesterday's meteorological prognostications, so far as Wellington was concerned, were not borne out by events. The day was line, with a fresh northerly that brought a chill from the miowr on the ranges. The. night was fine, and comparatively mild. Present indications aro for variable breezes, giving place to westerly winds from moderate to strong, with changeable weather, but fair to cloudy conditions predominating.
