BITTER WEATHER
Although yesterday opened with genial promise, t'uo weather developed a contrary mood. A Weal: southerly, steauily freshening, came up, and during the evening bitter squalls came driving out from tho Strait. Present indications point to moderate to strong eontherly vinds, cold and changeable conditions, and scattered showers. Tho lxirometer is rising. _
