Captain IJ.1 J . Baldwin represented the military. John Leslie Fulton, shearer, claimed to be an Australian. His appeal was adjourned lor two months to permit of investigations being made. W. A. J. Dutch, ibrasßfoiuidei) appealed /On behalf of George Coonibes,, an apprentice. The case was adjourned l'or threa months. The board {fronted W. C. Hurray, marine engineer in the employ of the Co., three months' leave ol' absence for domestic reasons. A month's leave without pay v. as recommended in the case of Private J. L. Hockey, of Nelson. The board adjourned the appeal ol Frederick ."fumes Bromley, ironmonger. Appellant, who had been to .Samoa, asked l'or an .extension : of time on account of his mother's ill-health. \lfred W.-Harding, waterside worker, who said that ho had offered his services for the Navy, was ordered to proceed to camp on Scptomber'l9. The case of Peter .lames M lv.ee, nool cleanser, was adjourned for three months. The board will resume to-day. ■ I —
