SOLDIERS COURT-MARTIALED
The findings of district court-martials on the undermentioned soldiers liave been confirmed as follows:— No. 5/823 Private Walter Clues, N.K< A.S.C., Feathorston, Camp, found piilty of "absenting himself without leave, using insubordinate language to his superior offioer, and conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline," was sentenced <tx> 84 days' imprisonment with haxd labour. No. 37,962 Private. Douglas Barrington, B Company, Thirtieth Reinforcements, found guilty of "disobeying in such a manlier as to show a wilful defiance or authority, a lawful command, given personally by his superior officer in tho execution of his office," was sentenced to six months' imprisonment with hard labour. _ „ . , . .. ~ No. .14,094 Privato H. Latng, details, I' Company, Twenty-second, found gnilty of "deserting His Majesty's Service, ;uid 103* ing by neglect his equipment, clothing, anil regimontal necessaries," was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for three months, and to pay for deficiencies in kit, amounting to .£3 12s. sd, No. 60,357 Private D. Baxter, Details, found guilty of "disobeying _ a lawful command given by his superior officer, was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for eleven months. No. 60.355 Private H. Baxter, Details, found guilty of "disobeying a lawful command given by liis superior officer, • was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for eleven months U days. No. 60,351 Private H. 7. .Kelvin, Details, found guilty of disobeying a lawiul command given by his superior officer was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for eleven months. .
