PETONE RATES
At this evening's mooting of tlio Pctono Borough Counoil a resolution will be passed to make and levy tho following rates for tho year 1917-18, viz.:—"Over tho whole borough a gonorul rata of 2}d. in tho sopnrato mid special rates totalling 1 15-Md. in the =C; water rates on all lands and buildings used as dwellings to which water is supplied whore annual valuo docs not exceed 10s. a rato of (is. Gd. ( where such valuo exceeds .£l2 10a. a lato of 2i per cent., one-half of tho said rates on all lands and buildings to which water oau bo but is not supplied situate within 100 yards of any part of tho water works, and on all buildings used as stores or ware, houses or lor purposes other than, dwellings over tho Petouo onstern special rating area; special rata* totalling 1 35-5Gd. in tho
