MR, GERARD HONOURED BY BRITAIN
TO KECEIVB A G.C.B. London, August 22. Mr James W. Gerard, late American Ambassador to Germany, will receive the Grand Cross of the Bath, in recognition •of his services to British prisoners in Germany. It is understood that ho is tho only man in America holding this honour. Mr. Gerard prevented a hitch on the Anglo-German exchange, of pri-soners.—Aus.-N.Z. CableAssn.
