A BOOKMAKER FINED

The police at Rockhampton, Queensland. oji making inquiries regarding the death of Sarah Blanchard (80), an oldago pensioner, who lived alono in a hut on Glenmore Road, North Rockhampton, and who was found dead at tlio foot of her bod, discovorod 100 sovereigns, 152 lialf-scvereigns, ,£8 10s. in notes, JLB 7s. 3d. in silver and copper, and also a small bag of gold dust. The neighbours used to supply her with comforts.
