Lieut. Aubrey Jackson, of Jfasterton, lias been slightly wounded in Flanders. He is also suffering from shell-shock. Jfr. 7. A. Field, M.P., for Nelson, has received news that his brothor-m-law. iho Rev. Frank R. Harbord, Vicar of Dunclnircli, Rugby, was killed in 1 ranee on August S. llr. Harbord, who was a chaplain in the 8.E.F., has .been at the front for a year, and lias been througn Ihe Battle of Messines. In his letlers he always spoko in admiration of the New Zealand men, and said no -o.diers were thought more of by the English officers. Chaplain-Captain Harbord had also served through the South African war as chaplain. Ho was married to a daughter of Jfr. Thomas Field, senr., of Auckland, formerly of Nelson. Mr. A. Jf'Donald, of Ngakonui, AVairarapa. has received advice that his brothor, Jfr Harry Jf'Donald, lias died at Jliddleinarcli, Central Otago. The late Jlr. M'Donald, who was forty-three years ol age, was at oue time a resident of the AVairarapa. An old settler of Iho Forty-Mile 13usii, Jfr. Nils Svenson, died on Monday.
