YESTERDAY'S SITTING THE FINANCIAL DEBATE WAR EXPENDITURE AND TAXATION The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The Now Zealand Inscribed Stock Bill was reported from the Statutes Revision Committee with amendments, put through all its stages, and passed. The Council sat agaiu at 8.15 p.m. and received the New Zealand Inscribed Stock -Bill from the Houso of Representatives, with a further amendment relating to the exemption of sloek from stamp duty. The amendment was agreed to and the Council adjourned until 2.D0 p.m. on Tuesday next.
