Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held iv clearing sale of dairy stock at Femside, on Tuesday, on account of Mr. D. If. Algie. There was a fair attendance in epitei of the Tcry rough weather. The cows \ and heifers'camo forward in fairly good condition, and met with keen competition. The 53-cows averaged £11 55., and the heifers (30) £8 ss. Piga: Wealiers, 165., 18s., .to 19s. 6d.; sows, 355. to £2 25.; boar, £4 13s. Messrs. Dalsety and Company report having held their sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a fail* yat'dinir of shce and cattle, all of which mfet with a ready sale. Quotations:—Fat wethers. 4ps.; fat ewes, 335. 6c1.; forward wethers, to 375. 9d.; ni.s. hoggets, 18s., 21's. 6d., to 235.: forward cows to £10 45.; 2-year steers, to £10; store cows, £5 10s.; vcalers, £3 6s.
