WONDERFUL WORK BY THE GRETNA MUNITIONS FACTORY. London, August 14. The Public Accounts Commitee estimates that notwithstanding tho rise in wages a paving of forty-three millions will ho effected in tho cost of ammunition in 1917 by the development of a system ascertaining tho exact cost of production. Upwards of eight million has been spent in the Gretna factory, our largest projectile and shell-filling establishment, and it is estimated that m another twelve months Gretna will pay for tho whole of the expense, compared with, the prices formerly paid to American producers.—Aus.-N.55.
