There is-a fair demand for oatsheaf chaff. 'The potato market is a shade firmer, good, clean-grown samples being worth £& 10s. per ton .it country', stations, and* good keeping varieties, snch as Dakota Beds, have realised 2s. 6d. per ton more, as have the old favourite, the Derwent, of which a few lots havo been on offer. A few sales are still being made to North Island buyers, and three steamers will be available for northern ports within the next eight days.
