ADMIRALTY'S REPORT TWO OF THE RAIDERS ACCOUNTED FOR
London, August 13. The Admiralty reports: "A hostile aeropiano of tho Gotha type <ras destroyed during its. return -to the Belgian coast. A hostile seaplane was destroyed off the Flanders coast. A large x ;number o! naval machines indecisively engaged the raiders over the sea.
"The pilot who destroyed the Gotha machine first pursued the enemy at an altitude of 12,000 feet, from the North. Poi-eland to 15 miles off Zeebrngge, where the enemy was lost. Returning to the ■month of the Thames, the pilot, seeing anti-aircraft firo' at Southend, flew there, and climbing high, observed eight Gothas, followed by four British machines, steering north-east. He climbed to 18,000 feet and attacked, without result. Thirty miles out to sea ho simultaneously observed a hostile machine 1000 feet below the enemy's formation. ENEMY TAKE FRIGHT. (Rec. August 14, 10.35 p.m.) I London, August 13. Tlia Press Bureau states: "Tho pilots' reports show that yeeterday'6 raiders "werG mating for London. They turned abruptly on sighting a large number of ourrcroplane3, and unloaded tho remainder of their bombs in tho'Boa. Our anti-eircraffc guns greatly assisted in repelling the raiders."—Aus.-N.Z. A German official report 6tates: "Onr aviators, attacking England, bombed with gobd results the military ivories at Southend and Margate. One of our aeroplanes., is missing. . .
