The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., reports:—On Tuesday wo held a sale of dairy stock on account of.Mr. E. It. Saunders, Glen Oroua. The attendance was not large owing principally to the flooded state of some of the roads. The herd of 40 cows averaged £11 ss. The best prices were, £12, £13, £13 55., £13 10s., £14, £16. The heifers sold from £7 10s. to £11 ss. A sow fetched £3. At Palmorstou North on Thursday: F. and F. ewes, 265.; small wethers, 265. 6d.; fair wether hoggets, 235. 7d.: fair forward cows, £8 4s„ £8 7s. 6d., £8 10s.; 3-year forward empty heifers, £11 4s. 6d.; fat cows, £11. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Upper Hutt yards on Thursday they submitted a medium yarding of both sheep and cattle to a small attendance of buyers, and sold the yarding at satisfactory rates.
