SUBMARINE PIRATES
ATTACKING SELECTED VESSELS INTENSIFIED DESTRUCTION OF BRITISH SHIPS , London, August 9. ( fhe naval correspondent of the "Times" states that over 50 per cent, of the vessels attacked have been sunk, despite the increases in the number of armed vessels. The failure of the German time-table has caused a change in plans for the submarines. The Germans have abandoned indiscriminate methods, and are concentrating on specialised attacks on selected vessels carrying large cargoes. Amsterdam, August 9. Germany aims at intensified destruction of British shipping shortly, concentrating on submarining exclusively.—The "Times."
