THE GAS TROUBLE
The Wellington Trades and labour Council on Thursday evening had a long discussion regarding tho situation arising out of the dispute, and, asit was felt that tho whole of tho labouring classes would bo affected by tho trouble if it were allowed to develop much'further, it was decided to call a meeting of all unions for Sunday next, at 2.30 p.m., to try 'an<l devise some scheme for a settlement, it is expected that there will be representatives from every union in the city, and executive members of unions have been specially requested to attend. Admission to the meeting will be by membership card. ~ The hours at which tho supply of gas will be available to-da.y will bo from 7 a.m. till 1.30 p.m. The Sunday hours were not decided upon last evening, as certain arrangements aro in train which may lead to an improvement in the supply. Particulars of Sunday's supply will be announced this evening.
