MR. LLOYD CTXmGE'S PROMISE OF FRKEDOM. London, August S. Mr. Lloyd Georgo, speakinj at the Serbian Society luncheon, after paying a tribulo to Serbia's part in ihe war, said: "Serbia, which has been tovered with the dirt of Turkish barbarism, is about to be cleansed. A first condition of peace will be her complete restoration without reservation. British honour is involved in 6eeins that Serbia is freed." M. Pasitoh (Premier of Serbia), in replying, said that Germany now spolte of an honourable peace. Such peace was only securable if the peoples under Aus-tro-Gonnan rulo are sot free—if tho rnnity of the Serbo-Croats and Slovenes is achioved, if tho Czechs and Slovats arc unitod and independent, if the Polish Ruthenian question is solved—then only will an hononrablo peace be secured.—Pouter.
