UNCERTAIN WEATHER
Yesterday was' fairly fine, but the sky had ail -uncertain aspect, and light rain fell in the city during the day. In the North ami East Coast districts the rainfall has been considerable, with strong south-oast winds. Present indication* are for moderate, to strong south-east to south-west winds north of Farewell Spit and Knikoura, and variable breezes,, with freshening northerlies prevailing elsewhore. Unsettled and showery conditions arc expected in the North and East Coast districts, and increasing cloudiness elsewhere.
