An innovation was made by Mrs. Holland, Mayoress of Christchurch, at a recent wedding. The toast was honoured of the Mayor and Mayoress, but as the Mayor (Mr. Holland) was unable tfi. bo present, Mrs. Holland was called upon to acknowledge it. "During the past five years," Mrs. Holland said, "I have had to do many nnaccustomed things, but never have I been compelled to do this before. My husband had to leave for a while, and in a weak mome.it I consented io reply if he were not back, thinking, of course, that he would return in plenty (if time. HAIKS ON THE FACE. Superfluous Hair is one of the most distressing blemishes with which women are afflicted, rind hitherto there has been no permanent cure. Electrolysis invariably leaves the faco badly marked, even more disfiguring than tho hair, and depilatories are worse thon useless, for they onlv burn the hair off, and cause it to grow out doubly strong. "KULDAH" is a medical formula., which has no equal for destroying tho Toots of the hairs; it is quite unlike any other superfluous hair remedy, and it behoves every woman so afflicted to givo "KULDAH" a trial. It leaves no trace of anything having been applied, and is a marvellous cure, as thousands of satisfied users have proved; price, 6s. Gd., in plain sealed wrapper, from G.
