ST ANDREWS CHURCH
ANNUAL MEETING. The aimuiil business meeting of tlio congregation of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church was liold in the schoolroom last evening, tho Rev. James Oumining, M.A., interim moderator, presiding. The annual report of session • was adopted oil She motion of Mr. Richard Brown, who paid a tribute to the wholehearted services of the ladies of the congregation. ; He briefly referred to the activities of'the c'hurch, and the excellent work of the guilds and committees. The report of tho Board of Management and the financial statement were also adopted. This report stated that arrangements had been made with the Rev. J. M. Thomson, M.A., to carry on the duties of pastor until the close of the current year, the stipend being fixed at A'4oo per annum without the manse. According to the financial statement the expenditure totalled 12s. 9d., or JC34 Bs. sd. more than ihe income. . The office bearers for the year are as 'follow Session clerk. Mr. Richard Brown; treasurer, Mr. A. J. A. Holmes; Board of Management, Messrs. G. m E. Brown; A. Greening, A. J. A. Holmes, G M'Cartney, J. M'Eldowey, C. R. Smith,.-D. S. Smith, P. C. Standidge, J. A. Currie, P. P. laurenson, R. C. Niven and D. Rutherford; hon. auditor, Mr. D. Menzies. The Board; of Management was given authority to sell or otherwise deal with the church's property in tlie township of Halcombe.
