TWO SUDDEN DEATHS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, August 6. The twelv&year-old eon'nf Mrs. E. Rowlands, while watching a football match, on Saturday, threw up Ms hands to catch a ball, and fell over and expired almost immediately. He had suffered from a weak heart for some time. - An ' old resident, John died suddenly yesterday, aged 73.' ,■ A FATAL LEAP. Napier, August 8. Robert John Conper, aged 50, of Wairod, jumped from th© second floor of the Masonic Hotel yesterday and died on tho way to the hospital. Deceased sufferI eed considerably from ill-health. His wife witnessed the fatal leap. She caught ! hold of his night clothing, a portion ot I which was torn away.. RAILWAY SHUNTER CRUSHED TO DEATH. Timaru, August 6. A! railway / Bhunter named Hunter, aged about thirty years,- was crushed this morning on tho wharf, and died later in the hospital. Ho was a married man.
