(Rec. August 7, 1 a.m.) Amsterdam, August G. According to a. German official statement tho average losses of submarines from February to August slightly exceeds three per montli.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. STATION CONTROL OF UNITED STATES SHIPPING. Washington, August 5. Tho Shipping Board has decided to commandeer all ships now being constructed, in order to hasten their completion. It will take over 700 vessels, of a tonnago of n, million and a half, of which ono million tons represents British orders. Tho Government will also control American-owned ships on tht> high seas—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
