RAH AW A FOR OVERHAUL. On Saturday, August 25. the Rarawa will leave Onehunga for Auckland for annual overhaul. Her running in the- Qnobunga New Plymouth service will be temporarily Uikcn up by the Rimu. The Rarawa will arrive at Auckland ou the Monday following. The Aupouri is to take the Rimu's service, and leaves Auckland on August 22 for Hokianga and Onehunga. The Rarawa will be at Auckland for about three weeks, and will then return to the Jlanakau port.

LYTTELTON HARBOUR AFFAIRS. At a meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board last, week the chairman presented bis half-yearly statement, which showed that for tho period ended June 30 last the ordinary cash receipts were £50,077, as compared with £31,339 for the half-year ended Juno 30. 1916. a. decrease of .£1363. The expenditure was £28,547, as compared with £55,205 for the half-year of Ml 6. The year was commenced with a credit balance of £2107, and closed with a, credit, of .£3637 on tho harbour fund account, The wharfage dues collected during the. six months amounted to £14,313, as compared w!tJi £15 498 to June, 1916. and £16,111 to June. 1915. respectively. She will leave the same day for the return ' There has been considerable delay experienced in getting the new auxiliary scow Kohau, built at Kaipara for Richardson and Co., away from that port for Wellington. The vessel was expected to sail on Friday evening with a quantity of

timber for here.
