FOOD CONTROL IN BRITAIN
NEW DIRECTOR ADOBTS CO-OPERA-TIVE MEASURES. (Eec. August 5, 5.5 p.m.) London, August i. Official.—Lord Rhondda, Food Controller, has invited the local government bodies in Great Britain to appoint food control committees to administer the new scheme of sugar distribution, under which retailers will bo required to register- the sugar cards issued. The puffnc committees nra also requested to continue the food economy campaign and deal with other foodstuffs, including meat and broad, and enforce the fixed food prices. —Aus.-N.Z.
