The vessel must have good cargo-handl-ing appliances, a. largo hatchway, and roomy," well-lighted, and well-ventilated accommodation for forty persons, including i crew. ■Tenderers must submit a specification, giving date when built, draught, dimensions, particulars of machinery, boilers, bunker capacity, coal consumption per diem, hold capacity, and complete inventory of equipment. If any tender is accepted it will ho conditional on tho ■ vessel undergoing satisfactory speed trials in loaded trim, and passing a satisfactory survey of hull and machinery; all docking and slipping expenses to bo paid by tenderer if tender Is accepted. . ■ If any vessel oilered is built of wood, the tenderer should state material. of fastenings, and whether sheathed with copper or other protective material.
