SOME INTERESTING EIGUHES. ' Tlie annual report of tho; Native Land Purchase Board 6tates that negotiations are in progress for tho acquisition of some 721,16U acres of Nativo land. In the TJrewera Reserves an area of 56,741 acres was purchased, mating tho Crown purchases in the TJrewera total 182,236 acres as at March 31 last.
