FINANCING THE OUTPUT OF MUNITIONS
FORTY-SIX MILLIONS LENT TO' VARIOUS COMPANIES. (Rec. August 1, 5.80 p.m.) London, July 31. In the House of Commons, Mr. Bonar. Law said that apart from the sums that had been advanced under the schemes, for tho restoration of credit at the commencement of the war, the Government had lent to various companies sums aggregating forty-six millions, mostly to in-. 1 crease tha output of munitions. Of this sum 27$ millons had already been repaid—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
