Frank Coles, aged 18 years, son of *li\ Coles, sen., clerk at tho Chief Post Office, was drowned while crossing a swollen stream on Mr. William Connor's property, Wanganui River, to-day. The body had not been recovered at a lato hour to-night. Auckland, July 30. Arthur Ernest Clark, aged 'IJf. a married man, awaiting trial on a charge of incest, hanged himself in Mou,nt Eden Gaol this morning.
