Shore Nye, "The Chalet," 1 Holmcsgrove Bond, Hcnleazc, Bristol, writes to her sister, Miss Ohatficld, Island Bay, that owing to the generous supply of papers New Zealand iadics are sending, Sirs. Nyo sought and obtained assistance from some of tho ladies of the Bristol branch of tho N.Z. "War Contingent Association, of which she is also a member, to distribute the papers nil over England. When .1 batch arrivos, they all have to be sorted, weighed, and dispatched to different hospitals wliere New Zealand soldiers are, and every pnper is gratofnlly received by our boys.

Phillip Tumor, who is i.-icausing tlio ogg stall in connection with Violet Day, wishes it to be rando known that the Soldiers' Hostel, in Boulcott Street, may bo used as a depot for eggs from Monday, August fi, until Violot Day itself, .August 10. In response to the appeal made 1.-y Mrs. M. Myers for a hip bath for S«fe Victoria Military Hospital, Mr,. M'Quarrie (of Hataitai), Mrs. S. Kirkcaldie (of JCarori), Mrs. P. Isaacs, and. Mrs. Peyton (Island Bay) have each offered one. Mrs. Myers will consult the principal medical officer at tho hospital as to the disposal of the baths, which will be of great assistance to the soldiers.
