A BIG SLIP
ON THE KARORI TRAMLINE. A big slip occurred" on the WellingtonKaron tramway line .on the city side of the tunnel on Sunday evening, about 1500 tons of loose earth and rotten rock hanking up on the track. As eoon as the news of the trouble was conveyed to the City Engineer two gangs of men were put on to clear the track, which task they were successful in accomplishing by last night. It was very fortunate indeed for the Karori people that 'there happened to be a car on the line on the Karori side of the slip. Otherwise they would have had to do without any service at all past the point where the line was buried. As it was, though it was impossiblo to run according to time-table, a service was maintained on. Sunday evening and yesterday, and full time-table running will be resumed to-day. Other minor slips have taken place as the Tβsult of the heavy rain during last "weelc and on Sunday.
