NEW ZEALANDERS IN HOME FORCES
i„ S "'~ ri 'e-Wfciest-flanks of New Zealand are due to the Hon. Sir James Allen tor his splendid work since becoming Defence Minister, and under most trying conditions Our boys have been 'well looked alter .and the Dominion well served. .But there is one cUss that ought to receive some- cowideraiion, and at present get none. I refer to New Zea-land-torn and bred boys w'ho have join?T ? r r,, are llmler training to Join the Royal Flying- Corps. Although New Zealanders, they are denied privilges granted -to all members of our reinforcements, euch.as free railway passes for themselves and families, etc., and only because they belong to the Homo Forces, 60 are treated as outsiders. Even when ordered to attend Medical Boards in Wellington they have to pay their ownrail fares and expenses. This is not right or just. Let all New Zealand-born boys be treated alike, say 1. It is tinnecessary for me to mention the splendid work of the E.F.C. men in the war. Hoping this matter may receive the support of yonr powerful paper.--1 am, etc., PARENT. ; ' [If the facts are as stated by our correspondent the- position should be remedied.]
