NEW ZEALAND HEROES
DECORATED FOR BRAYERY. London, July 27. The Military Cross has been awarded to Lieutenant C. T. Gillespie, of Now Zealand, for extinguishing burning boxes of ammunition under heavy sholl-fire. He worked amidst exploding shells with total disregard of his dangor. Two men who assisted him, Sapper U. Butler and Corporal Norris, both New Zealanders, receive Distinguished Conduct Medals for "heroic artillery and engincenug feats. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter.
