Thei commit'teo of the Wellington liose awl Carnation Club, in its annual report, states that up to the present lime tho club still continues to make steady progress, the financial position being quite sound, despite the fact that the whole of the profits derived from Iho spring show were devoted to patriotic purposes. As a result of the spring show, the amount of .£25 15s. Bd. was handed over to tho Mayor's Fund for 'Wounded Soldiers, thus making a total of .£232 9s. 7d. contributed by the club during tho war to this purpose. The receipts for tho year, including a oalance brought forward from the previous vear of .£64 Is. 2d., amounted to ,5269 Ks.'fid., and tho expenditure amounted lo JJ2O7 125., leaving a balance at the bank Gf ,£6l lis. 6d. Of this amount the sum of .£25 15s. Bd., being half the net proceeds of tho spring show, is being placed to the credit of the Zoo Rosary Roso Purchasing Fund. The committee has once again to express their gratitude and appreciation to those lady members of the club and their friends ■who worked so hard to make tho 6how a success.
