As a sequel to a meeting held last ni"ht a large deputation of Anglican clergy and laity waited on Bishop Sadlier to-day and'congratulated hirn •on his election to the Bishopric of Gippsland, at the fame time expressing the earnest hone that he would remain in this diocese Bishop Sadlier acceded-to the request, and has cabled declining nomination to Gippsland.
