THE CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR
Sir,—May I be permitted a small' space in your paper expressing the general feeling in connection with the conscientious objector. Mr. Holland says: the present Government is doing wrongby sending these men to the front ■ tecause they won't fight for their rights-, or liberty' which they have had m this: well-governed country. IE the Defence. minister is going to allow this sort rf thing to occur and bring back ftoso who have been sent away, the conscientious objector will he finding himself and his belongings under German control. What, will he say then? I expect lie will blame the Defence Minister for muddling the war. We have in our district seme nf these men who came under Unuso 35, and on two occasions have been before the Appeal Board in Paimerslon.North and been granted time. In the meantime the good old bulldos is doing Wβ bit.-I
