WAR PROFITS BILL IN AUSTRALIA
MODELLED ON NEW ZEALAND ACT. . Melbourne, July 26. In the House of Representatives, Sir John Porrest said tho War Profits Bill would not apply to business as carried on outside the Commonwealth, although the owners reside here, lmless the produce was sold in the Commonwealth. In the case of new companies, the Bill which was copied from the New Zealand Act, would expect the remuneration of directors to be limited to .£IOOO. The approximate revomie to be received under the Bill was JiMO.OOO for two years. —Press Association.
